These days you no longer have to splash out thousands of dollars for wide-screen GPS navigation.  A tablet combined with software such as Navionics makes a great touch screen Nav device.  Make sure you choose an appropriate waterproof case, then come and check out the selection of locking and non-locking tablet mounts suitable for marine use.

RAM cradles are made from high-strength composite and stainless steel fittings.  Couple these with a mounting system in the C-series (1.5" diameter) ball fitting for applications with heavier devices or rough water conditions, or B-series (1" dia.) ball fitting for tablets in in-shore use.  Mounts are available in Marine grade alloy or high-strength composite construction.

The most popular mounts are the RAM-101U screw down mount and it's composite cousin RAP-101U.
